Layla Bagels is the Santa Monica sourdough bagel shop Sergio Espana and chef Sammi Tarantino opened on Ocean Park Boulevard in January 2023. The hand-rolled bagels use levain, and the menu follows the produce Layla buys at the Santa Monica Farmers' Market. The current matcha menu is shared across Ocean Park, Beverly Hills, and Brentwood. Pear Matcha pairs earthy matcha with juicy pear, Strawberry Matcha Latte uses house strawberry syrup, Cream Top Matcha finishes an iced latte with house cream, and Matcha Latte is available hot or iced. Three shops are open now: Ocean Park first, then Beverly Hills, then Brentwood. The current owner directory and all three Toast branch menus agree on that footprint and menu.
