The Scoop
Alfred is at Beverly and Martel, opening at 6:30 am on a stretch that sits between Fairfax and Melrose without belonging to either. The room catches a lot of foot traffic from both. Beverly Boulevard is underrated for a coffee walk and we would start it here. The matcha menu is the full one, from the plain hot latte through the lavender version built on housemade syrup with a tea of French lavender and butterfly pea. The current menu includes seasonal pumpkin-spice matcha, Matchaga, and strawberry and lavender matcha lattes.
