Kumquat Coffee

The downtown Kumquat is on South Figueroa in the financial district, which gives it a different job from the Highland Park room. It keeps shorter hours built around the working day, closing in the early afternoon on weekdays and a little later at weekends, so this is a morning and lunchtime proposition. The brand-wide current menu includes the Matcha Latte, a matcha-based Kumquat Tonic, and two named Uji ceremonial teas, Sokuchouzan and Jouraku. We use it as the downtown escape hatch, and the ceremonial matcha is what makes the afternoon survivable.
