Awakening is on South La Brea in Inglewood, and the matcha hibiscus cloud latte is the drink that has built its reputation. Owners Jack and Lena are usually on the floor, which sets the tone, and the cloud lattes are the house format with the Heavenly Cloud Latte beside the hibiscus one. The layout is ultra-modern and open with cozy nooks worked into it, and the enclosed patio has a cyberpunk streak we thoroughly enjoy. Inglewood rarely appears on matcha lists and this is the room that ought to change that. Breakfast and light lunch mean you can make a morning of it.
